This is Fatleboo's review of Trine. I combined the two thread posts that it started out in, and I am dropping it in the blog area. You guys should check it out, he does a good job. bsmith3258
If you haven't already, check out the Trine trailer and a couple of gameplay, because trust me. This is the game to get on PSN.
The good-
1. Graphics are amazing, not the best, but they're really nice to like at.
2. Controls- I don't recommend you change the Controls on this game, its set up perfect.
3.…

Feeling like turds today, so what better thing to do for a sour stomach then put up a blog post. Just another case of a community gaming report with a lot more gaming, and a lot less community, although I have played some with actual community members. Played some Battlefield 1943 with Emilio on Saturday morning, unfortunately I had the baby right next to me, so I could check the mic code. Sunday however, I tried to invite both ediddy and Mr_Pyrite to a game and had no luck. Squad invites were t…

I feel like this report maybe stepping over some already plowed ground, to use a farming analogy as I am too often disposed to do. Fat Princess, there I said it, you all were thinking it, if you weren’t playing it, and not reading another, stupid community gaming report. The game is pretty fantastic, as we all observed on the cast, online problems not withstanding, because they seem to improve each time I played it.
I had a fairly long session of it last evening, after a late night recording se…

I am going to come clean on this one, this is less a community gaming report then it is a Brent gaming report. Sunday was a busy day with me; I started the morning answering one of those eternal questions, who is watching the Watchmen? The answer Sunday was me, and for in large part I enjoyed it. Its only real problem was the length, two hours and forty minutes, but that was about it, other than that it was pretty stellar. Just like Peter Jackson’s LoTR trilogy, the writers and director were ver…

Hello everyone, hope you heard the cast for this week, and enjoyed it. I got some good gaming time in last week, primarily playing with one Mr. Pyrite, as well as some solitary Battlefield 1943 action. I talked about this a lot on the cast, so I will not belabor it, but Battlefield is a great game. I hope they are efforting a fix for the microphone code, but just because it is not there, does not mean it has to be ruined for me. I had some great fun moving around those maps, shooting my fellow m…

A very brief community game report, primarily to keep the franchise alive. I have done a bit of gaming with folks on the community, it has been just as frustrating, as it was fun. The frustration was around Battlefield 1943, what else. Seriously it is a great game, and if I did not want to play with people I would be fine with it, unfortunately playing with actual people you know has ruined me for playing with randoms. As I said on this weeks cast, I had what may have been the best game of my li…

This post could really be better described as, Burn Notice, except it’s a novel, and Brent likes it. That is a fancy way of saying that right now I am not gaming. As good as Battlefield 1943, imFAMOUS, and Red Faction are, I am currently obsessed with the novel, Eye of the Storm, by John Ringo. This is either the ten or eleventh book in the Legacy of the Aldenata series which continues to be one of my personal loves, and why I am let down by most popular science fiction, yes Austin, even Firefly…

Sorry for the relatively long break between these posts everyone, I know you were all waiting with bated breath, but life, and a total lack of multiplayer gaming got in my way. Plus, how many times do you guys really want to read a post with me praising imFAMOUS? That being said, I did not play imFAMOUS this week, I jumped back into Red Faction, and tore some sh-t up! While I did not get much further into the story, what I did do was play a bunch of side missions, including a few destruction cha…

A fairly uneventful Holiday weekend in gaming for me, bad timing, a good single player campaign, and a baby with teething trouble do not contribute to a productive multiplayer gaming weekend. The good single player campaign is of course imFAMOUS, which is still fantastic, and one of the best games I have played on this system. I love the platforming, I have already played hours of the side missions, and I am delaying moving forward on the main story line, a sure sign for me that I don’t want the…

Hello again community members, I am writing with another hotly anticipated community gaming report. At least I am going to pretend it is hotly anticipated until someone tells me it’s a turd sandwich, and then maybe I will back off. Generally this week has been fairly uneventful, I did meet community member Steve Sander’s brother playing Burnout and COD WaW. Burnout is still a good time, at this point all we are doing is challenges, specifically Freeburn challenges, but if other members of the co…

I hope this post finds all of you well. I am going to try to make this a regular feature on the site, but I thought since we are a gaming site, a semi-regular report of community gaming interactions might be appropriate. This week I have had a few run ins with our fellow community members, and some single play platforming action in imFAMOUS.
In terms of interactions with actual people this week, on Saturday evening I ended up in a Battlefield Bad Company squad with Ediddy, Austin, and Mr. Pyrit…

I will make this quick, because in our go go twenty-first century culture, full of news aggregators, and multimedia platforms, long reviews won’t cut it. I just figured that I would give everyone the report on my three recent video game purchases. For the record I just got Red Faction, Tiger Woods 10, and imFAMOUS. While I have not played any of them enough to give you the full report here are a few sentences on each that I hope will give you food for thought.
First of, and in order of purchase…

Imagine this, you walk through the Target looking to buy a few new polo shirts, and maybe a thermos for your coffee. Might as well swing past the electronics section, hell you have to get to groceries anyway, and what is this, copies of Killzone 2 stocked and on the shelves? You feel the giddiness, this is to good to be true, think how envious everyone will be when they see you playing it. You wait a few minutes, dancing on your toes dreaming of killing Helgasts a little earlier then everyone el…

Great podcast this week guys, enjoyed most of the topics especially your discussions of the graphics in Killzone 2 and the domination of the Wii. Emilo, you were saying how you thought that the 360 would not be able to execute the visuals they pulled off in Killzone 2. From everything I have seen and from what I have heard on this podcast as well as others, it does look like the game should be incredible, but I wonder are we reaching the point of diminishing returns when it comes to graphics? Ar…
