Video Game Decathlon
OK everyone, another case of a wacky Brent concept that is probably going to go over like a lead balloon. Chalk this one up to a long week of working on my father’s farm, and having a lot of time to let my mind wander. This is something that I have thought about for as long as I have been involved with online gaming, and listened to other community based podcasts talking about who the best gamer is.
My concept is the video game video game decathlon. What I envision is a multi-day, multi-event gaming completion with an aggregate score to decide who really is the best online gamer. I can see events involving fighting games, score chases, first person shooters, and racing games. Competition could be head to head as well as by posted scores. Just a crazy little idea, perhaps it is another case of me living in my own mind, but if you are interested or have any ideas you think would work, throw them up in this thread, and we will see what happens.
