Discussion Topic for Episode 60 - Your Three Fall Games

This week’s Topic is red meat for your summer podcasting grill, if you will allow me to mix my metaphors. As we blast through the summer doldrums, I don’t think I am buying a disk based game this month, and look longingly towards fall, what are the three games on your radar for the fall months? The only rule is the game has to have a predicted release date of no later than October 31st , use Amazon if you are unsure. Give us the reason why you want it, and that is all. That is a tough choice seeing how there is so much coming out this fall. With games like MAG, and Modern 2 coming out in November you are sure to get your fill of FPS. But with games like Batman Arkum Asylium, and Uncharted 2 you are sure to get your fill of Action/Adventure games as well. And then there is Madden 10, Guitar Hero 5, Rock Band Beatles, and the list goes on... I'm either going to have to choose wisely or go broke buying them all. I need help deciding or if someone wants to set up a Mr_Pyrite game fund collection I would appreciate it! Crap and also Assasin's Creed 2 and I forgot that GT 5 is coming for the PSP so I may have to buy one of those PSP 3000 so I'll need right around $1000 if anyone can spare it.

Madden NFL 10---just because I enjoy the Madden games. I've been playing them since the Super NES days.
Batman: Arkham Asylum---I'm kind of a Batman fan, and I'm hoping for a Batman game that doesn't suck.
Marvel Vs. Capcom 2----I just want to play as Spider-Man, and clobber the Capcom characters.

my most wanted game would be Uncharted 2. it looks like its going to be more great eye-candy and some solid 3rd person cover shooting. i loved the first one, so this will be a day 1 purchase for sure. the multiplayer is a great bonus too, im particularly looking forward to the co-op..

im interested in Dark Void too, and will definately check it out. probably just a rental though...

if Ratchet and Clank lands in the Fall, ill check that out. otherwise Dirt2 or Borderlands. although im not keen to buy another racing game before GT5 comes out...

Had to think about this one for a bit since most of my purchases do require hearing reviews first, I hate buying a game that I hype up only to find I don't like it and never play it.

Uncharted 2 - Having seen the gameplay online this is one I cant pass up. Loved the first one and have been waiting for 2 for some time.
Batman - ummm play as Joker... sold....
Madden - kind of like crack to me and I always end up buying the newest one, always hoping my Miami Dolphin Team rises in the ranks

But having said all that I will wait to hear the reviews you guys give because I really thought the Ghostbusters game was gonna be something I wanted, but after what I heard on the podcast I saved myself the expense and time,

Wow no Brutal Legend love or Afrika? What's the deal gamers??? Does anyone here ever heard of Katamari Forever? Best game ever. What about WET, you know you like it. C'mon! And you know you secretly want to get in on that Singstar Queen action, let's be serious here, who doesn't! Peace and I'm out.

im coming out swinging, my top 3 is uncharted, dragon age origins and fifa 2010, although im also picking up ninja gaiden sigma 2, need for speed shift, demon soul's, ratchet and clank acit, lol and thats just my list before the holidays....woe is me and my diluted time. great show guys ill try to post here more often.

Uncharted 2 (I had a great time getting shot up in the beta and I want to buy Uncharted when it becomes a greatest hit); Explodemon! – Not to be confused with Splosion Man (I’m not sure if this one counts because it is only listed as TBA 2009 but the PSP version should be awesome); and maybe GTA: Chinatown Wars if Rockstar updates the graphics and missions enough and adds real radio stations.

I also wanted to comment on the technology discussion a few podcasts back but I’ve been busy lately with family life and going back to school online. If I could have one piece of technology I’d have a 60 inch OLED TV. I would couple it with my PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii; not to exclude a 7.1 HD surround sound system and a comfortable chair. Lastly, I would move a refrigerator filled with food and alcohol along with my 2 year old daughter’s portable potty (she’s never used it anyway) into the room and not leave for a week! Seriously though, I'd have a small bathroom connected the room.

On a side note: PSP Go! for the win this holiday season if it were a hundred dollars cheaper! Lure people in with the system, catch them with the games. Sony should take note from the DS Lite.

i think the psp is fairly priced. try bying a psp 3000 bundle and getting a 16 gb stick and already your over 300. plus the psp go has bluetooth wich will enable you tu use bluetooth headsets for skype. and if it comes bundled with gt psp for 250 than this is just a steal.
