Discussion Topic for Episode 58 - Your One More...Piece of Technology

This week’s topic is a pretty simple one, and one I enjoy thinking about to pass those long hours a top the tractor on the farm. It is simply this, if you could add any one thing to your entertainment suite, what would that one thing be? Now when I play the game I like to pick out something that I think I could reasonably talk my wife into, if she was a little drunk, it was Christmas, and I was looking particularly sexy. I know we all want a 128”, or its metric equivalent PK, flat-screen, LCD with full 1080P resolution, but I also want my wife and Beyonce to be interested in a threesome, and unfortunately that is not going to happen, so try to keep your wants to what you consider realistic. As an alternative to that, and at Austin’s suggestion, give us your ideal home entertainment system. I look forward to everyone’s contributions, and I really appreciate last week’s great response. Have a good week everyone.

This does sound interesting, but have you tried Netflix yet. Come home push a button and your watching a 10 year old movie. It's like heaven over the intertubes.

A controler that a disabled gamer with limited control of their hands could use. I have Cerebral Palsly, and sometimes I have problems using the controls.

Yah but If I want to Netflixs I would have to pay for the service when I allready have all of the DVD's here and Bsmith did say in the rules for this post that I would have be ONE Piece of Tech and I think that would count as 2 plus I don't want to get an X-Box 360 am a Sony person for life

Go on you man and welcome to the community...I really do think that Sony Microsoft and Nintendo need to think about all gamers when they bring the consoles out for purchase I mean you have to look at everyone needs not the just 1% of the gamers...you have to look at the people like you that love video games but would have a problem with their controllers

I'm not sure if it's the controler, or the game though. With some games, you almost need to be Dr. Octopus to press all the buttons just to have your character do a task.

I think that it might just be both....I really and I mean Really suck at Guitar Hero and Rock Band with all of those different Keys you have to play all of the time and riffs that you have to do...man I mean some of these games really do have to come with a extra easy mode for us gamer that don't play that kind of game all of the time but want to try it out.

I would like to have my own gaming room that is only open to others by invitation only, with sound proof walls, a surround sound system, 60" LED LCD television, movie theater seats, and a movie theater popcorn machine. OH yeah gotta love the popcorn!

thanks for the metric love! its 325.12 centimeters by the way. but funnily enough, we measure our TV sets by inches?? go figure...

i dont know if this can be considered a 'Piece of Technology'.. but i'd settle for a home theatre room - something that i can set up and dedicate just for gaming/movies... and not have to worry about the wife's coffee table decorations, or reflections from windows, etc.. and like SS said.. sound proof walls!

other than that - it would be great to have a time-machine addon, that let me be online when someone else on my friends list is!!
