I became a PS3 fan when I realized that it really was the center of my home media experience. I mean Blu-Ray,Games,Media Server, and online social network, come on this is the real deal. I know that company X offers most of those things also but with Sony I don't have to worry about my system dying every 2 months.

I think my first words might have been money hat, but I am sure that I said Sony rise up after that. I have had a man crush ever since the PSOne was released. I was a day one gamer of the PS2 and I am the proud owner of a PS3 and the PSP. I always loved the way Sony future proofs their hardware and that is a big draw for me. And like two thumbs pointed down at JRizzle the PS3 is the center of my media life.

I am the guy that say remote play isn't a feature, it's a way of life. I use everything the PS3 and the PSP have to offer. I am the guy who went out and bought a Location Free Player after they discontinued it so I could watch TV on my PSP.

The year was 1996, and the SNES was the system of the day... for the moment. Word of Final Fantasy VII began to fill every gaming rag, from EGM to Gamepro. I was the first of my friends to get the system in preparation for the big ordeal, and probably got the most use from my original PSX, and ended up owning 3. Then 3 PS2s, and now the PS3. While other systems have provided entertainment (I own nearly every system since the NES), none have had the ability, library, or consistent "hit factor" that the Playstation brings through every generation!

Here's to looking forward to the PS9*

My first PlayStation was the orginal PlayStation (later renamed the PSOne). I remember getting one before anyone else in my group of friends, and oh was I the king of video games. LOL... after coming from the Genesis/SegaCD/32X and N64, the Playstation really changed things!

It was a DVD player! ***GASP!*** It played CDs! ***DOUBLE GASP!*** Look at ALL those BUTTONS on the controller! *** Shocked Silence***

I remember having NBA Live, where everyone looked like a doughboy with a blank head, and we could NOT stop talking about the graphics and how much better they were compared to LIVE on the SNES or Genesis we were used to.

Over the years I dabbled in Dreamcast and PC gaming, but stayed faithful to my PS2, preaching the Gospel of Sony to literally TENS of people.

Then the tide turned.

I won a restyled PSOne in an NBA on TNT contest being pimped by my idol at the time, Jayson Williams. I ended up trading that PSOne to a friend for his old Genesis, and well... we all know how things turned out for Jayson and his Chauffer. (FAIL).

Since then, I've converted to XBOX 360ism, and don't denounce my PS past, but would consider my more SONY agnostic.

Well for me I kind of skipped the PS1. I had friends with them and would play with them from time to time, but I was still on nintendo and sega at the time. I got my PS2 as a birthday present and GT3. I played a bit on it mostly GT3 and Tekken ( I know boring right). At that time I was already into PC gaming Quake 2 and 3, Half-life, and all the Rainbow 6 games along with swat 3 and 4. My PS3 was a aniversary present ofr me and my wife along with rock band. Rock band was the real reason I bought a PS3, but I did want a blu- ray, that and I did not want a red ring of death. Two months after that I bought a PSP. My PS3 was the best 400.00 bucks I have spent this year. That and it goes with the rest of my house that is all sony. Sony cell phones, 2 TVs, home theater system, laptop (wife's), and blah blah blah. How ever I did start out with an Atari 2600 that my parents got at Mongomery Wards for the same price I paid for my PS3 if I remember correctly. That really ages you to remember that, a joystick and one button my how times have changed.
